Originating in ancient China, Tai Chi provides many health benefits including: increased flexibility and muscle strength, greater fitness, better body posture, integration of body, mind and spirit, and improved flow of Qi (life energy). The movements are slow and gentle and the degree of exertion is easily adjusted for all ability levels. The essential principles of Tai Chi include mind/body integration, fluidity of movement, control of breathing, and concentration. Tai Chi has many styles and forms. The Sun Style is the one we will study. Learn to relax and breathe!
