Drop in & Draw!
We are happy to bring live figure drawing sessions to the Suffolk area!
2-Hour Independent Drawing session with model.
Bring your own supplies, and have the freedom to practice drawing from life. We have a few easels available, and we are limited with drawing boards. The model will have on a nude colored leotard and will have some fabric for drapery.
Please pre-register so we can make sure we have enough for our model.
Sessions will be held the last Wednesday of each month!
See you there!
This class is designed for intermediate-level art students, those somewhat familiar with the use of acrylic or oil paints, who want to explore/practice the mechanics of portrait painting and find their own style. A suggested list of materials will be provided when registered for the class. A materials fee is optional if you want to use the Suffolk Art League supplies.
Spend your Thursday mornings in the gallery classroom with Tommy Johnson, as he shows you how to get familiar with painting with acrylic paints.
In this 6-week course you will have at least 2 paintings completed or close to completion. All materials will be provided, and all skill levels are welcome to join.
Expand your artistic toolbox with this wonderful and rich encaustic collage class with Eloise Shelton-Mayo! We are very excited to add this workshop to our class schedule!
Full Class!
We are excited to invite one of our local artists, Collette Mann, to our classroom as she shares her passion for mosaics with us on Sunday April 14, 1-4pm. This is an introductory class appropriate for students ages 10-adult. All materials will be provided, but everyone is encouraged to bring in something sentimental, or dear to their hearts that they want to forever encapsulate in a mosaic.
Yoga in the Art Gallery!
Join us on Saturday morning, April 6 and bring in spring with a relaxing meditative yoga and sound bath workshop. Yoga instructor Stephanie Gwaltney will guide you in a slow relaxing Hatha flow practice restoring your center, while Brianna Sexton fills the gallery with soothing sounds.
Lets all reset, relax and rejuvenate. Please bring a mat and a towel.

Unlike your typical book club, this club doesn't read books, we make the books! This 4-week course will show you multiple bookbinding techniques, and paper creations. All materials will be provided, and each participant will receive their own bone folder, which is an essential tool to help with bookbinding and paper folding.
