A world of opportunities are available for artists and students
with the Suffolk Art League.
From scholarships to opportunities for artists to make their mark on communities, the Suffolk Art League has many opportunities for those of all ages. We invite budding and seasoned artists to learn more about getting involved with the Suffolk Art League.
Visiting Artist Program with Suffolk Public Schools
The Suffolk Art League seeks two enthusiastic artists for an upcoming school-based residency program. Each artist will work with the Suffolk Art League Education Coordinator to develop a workshop that can be presented in either the Suffolk elementary or middle schools. This workshop will give students the opportunity to work with new media and a new instructor to deepen and enliven the arts curriculum. We will start accepting applications in December 2024, for the upcoming spring timeframe.
Interested artists should submit a brief (no more than 500-word) letter of intent, including workshop proposal, intended grade level, resume' and 5-10 images of your work. Please email information to [email protected] no later than March15 for consideration. This is a paid opportunity and the Suffolk Art League will provide all supplies needed for successful workshop completion. Prospective artists should have or be working towards a degree in fine art, art education or equivalent experience.
Please reach out to Hillarey Breedlove [email protected] with any questions or for assistance completing the application requirements.
